I can’t help having a heavy heart thinking about this day 16 years ago. I think of people in pain and who have experienced so much loss and it breaks my heart. Our prayers are with everyone today who is feeling overwhelmed, sad, broken because of 9.11, the hurricanes or anything else. This scripture brings peace as I think of the craziness we face in this world, and that there is one who is with us in the midst of every storm we ever face. “The Lord is my shepherd, I lack nothing. He makes me lie down in green pastures, He leads me beside quiet waters, He refreshes my soul. He guides me along the right paths for His name’s sake. Even though I walk through the darkest valley, I will fear no evil, for you are with me; your rod and your staff, they comfort me.” -Psalm 23:1-4 Caleb and I were laying on the sand (not green pastures) this weekend, but seeking peace that only comes from God. Prayers that your peace will overflow because of the unconditional, unchanging, eternal love God has for you.
