Every year we make the small trek from our lovely home in Pasadena to the beautiful quaint town of Oak Glen to take part in the many fall festivities that they have to offer. Each year we make a point of picking some apples, walk through the pumpkin patch, and grab a few caramel apples from the ranch store.
Stefanie’s face in this photo pretty much sums up the day that we had while on the farm. Caught up in her happy place, my wife becomes a child again as we explore the grounds and grab a few apples. This is the adventure we look forward to the most each year as fall comes around.
One of the things that they had this year that they did not have in previous years is a U-pick flowers station where you could pick as many flowers as you wanted to and create a bouquet using the colorful ribbons they had right at the flower box, all for just $8. When we got out of the car, Stefanie practically sprinted (as per usual) to the flower boxes and was well on her way to creating her bouquet by the time that I got there. Ten minutes into our adventure, Stefanie had her flowers ready to go!
The rest of the day was relaxing and fun as we ran hand in hand through the many orchards, fields, and pastures soaking in every bit of fall fever that was all around the place. We left feeling extremely satisfied with a full day, and to top off the evening we grabbed our personal adventure food, In-n-out on the way home.
We put up a poll Saturday asking which your favorite was to pick, apples or pumpkins, and apples were the overwhelming winner! We agree, getting to carry a little bag around and pick the apples we want whilst flirting and laughing is second to none!
