Have you ever had to be carried? I like to think of myself as a strong, independent, girl boss and it’s a humbling experience to feel the need to be carried. Like the time I took a bad fall by a waterfall and knocked off some of my toenails and twisted my ankle and Caleb carried me to the car. But emotionally being carried can be even more humbling. ___ Do you know the poem ‘footprints in the sand’? I’ve been thinking about that poem a lot lately. The last couple weeks have been difficult, and when I look back at those extra difficult seasons in life, I remember that even if I “see one set of footprints” instead of two that doesn’t mean I’m alone. That means I’ve been carried. ___ I’m feeling extra grateful today for support systems to help me. For my husband, amazing family and of course Jesus. If anyone is feeling the weight and burdens of this world today, and it feels like you can’t go one more step, (and I’ve been there too, friends), I wanted to remind you that you’re not alone. That even if it feels like you’re all alone, God’s not far from anyone of us. ___ Here are some verses that encourage me through times I feel like I couldn’t go another step because of the weight of the world, I hope they encourage you like the do me. 1 Peter 5:7 Cast all your anxiety on him because he cares for you. Psalm 68:5-6 A father to the fatherless, a defender of widows, is God in his holy dwelling.God sets the lonely in families, he leads out the prisoners with singing; but the rebellious live in a sun-scorched land. Isaiah 41:10 So do not fear, for I am with you; do not be dismayed, for I am your God. I will strengthen you and help you; I will uphold you with my righteous right hand. Matthew 11:28 “Come to me, all you who are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest. ___ Do you have any times where you’ve been carried? Love hearing from you!
