Have you started working on your 2019 goals? Last week I took an amazing webinar by
@cultivatewhatmatters & @nataliefranke that helped me focus in on my goals and really cultivate things that matter. They had us ask the question “Will this matter when you’re 80 years old?” And dig deep to build a life that will matter in more than just the immediate. No guilt or shame was placed even if we hadn’t begun thinking of our goals, but instead helped me to prioritize what’s important. I have a lot of spiritual, emotional, physical, career, relational goals for this new year. And I also have some fun goals. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
A fun goal for me is to get better at doing my hair. I shared with you a quick and easy “how to curl your hair” tutorial on the Vlog. *Link in Bio.*
@stefanie.rouse I would always do my sister’s hair growing up. I was also really into makeup & dress up. Yesterday was the first time trying my goal of doing a new hairstyle, which brings me back to the way I loved doing my sister’s hair as kids. And things that bring me back to that childhood innocence and joy matter to me. I got frustrated a couple times when it wasn’t looking perfect. But I kept reminding myself it’s not about being perfect, it’s about trying, learning growing. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀

This obviously is true for a lot more things other than hair styles. I’ve had struggles and frustrations in each of the ares of my goals. But I want to keep pressing on, and remembering to let go of the idea of “perfect” and embrace the fun and the process. One step at a time. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀

What a goal you have for 2019? I want to encourage you that any day can be a fresh start. Love hearing from you!
