Happy Weekend Friends! _____ We love flowers. Flowers can not only be such a beautiful representation of beauty and creation, but also of renewal, redemption, and newness. _____ We have been through a season of twists and turns, craziness, and turmoil, but with all things, on our hearts today and this morning had been a renewed thought of things becoming new. _____ A fresh start, a newness that spreads over the old and decrepit things that wear us down. Looking at these flowers, which remind me of a wonderful getaway in the desert. I also am reminded of the redemption that Christ brings. Not always in the ways that we think, like monetarily, or in success, but it can also be in encouragement, change, and redemption. _____ Sometimes you have to go through “seven years of famine” before you can reap the benefits of a year of bountiful harvest. It feels like we are in years of famine at times, but reading these verses and being reminded of renewal that comes through obedience and faith, I am confident in the promise of a better today and tomorrow. _____ And he who was seated on the throne said, “Behold, I am making all things new.” Also he said, “Write this down, for these words are trustworthy and true.” Revelation 21:5 _____ Sitting next to my beautiful bride this morning, I am so thankful for the precious moments we get together and the crazy journey we share. _____ Where in your life do you feel a sense of renewal happening? We would love to hear your victories! 📷: @cait.emmrich
