Stockings were hung by the chimney with care. We brought some holiday joy as people laughed as we did our family walk with our ugly Christmas sweaters and 'performed' our stealthy 'secret mission' to help decorate a tree on the neighborhood walk with our wild stances and rolled around on the ground. Thankfulness overflowed as we joined hands praising God for all His blessings. Tears were flowing down our faces at dinner as Momma Kay recalled the first time she met Papa John -he was 5'2 with long hair (she was 6'0) and made some other hilarious comments. Gramma Marcia said Kay was always crazy about John and told us to check with her to get the other side of the stories. We had laughs and cries as we opened presents and even got to visit with our Minnesota family on FaceTime with our new adorable nephew and two year old niece as Caleb entertained us with his dance moves and Kay and I broke out in some new happy dances. Caleb and I were transformed to little kids on Christmas again as we rushed home to put up our new (and my first) train 🚂 set around our tree. Our family is always putting so much love and attention into the smallest parts of our special day. They never cease to amaze us with their generosity. While it's sad we don't spend our holiday with them, as we get to spend our Christmas Day in wonderful Pittsburgh with family, it truly started our Christmas in the best way! What is a special way you get to celebrate Christmas? We always love hearing from you!
