It’s not happy people who are thankful it’s thankful people who are happy. 😀Thankfulness is a choice in our lives. We have the option to focus on the good, pure, holy, lovely things or the bad. When we focus on the former it allows us to have much more energy and joy in our lives. ____ Even through horrible trials in life, when we pick out little or big things to be thankful for it shifts our perspective and allows light ✨and hope in our hearts. When we focus on what we don’t have it’s a breeding ground for bitterness and depression. But when we count our blessings no matter how few and far between they may seem amazing things can happen. ____ My hearts been breaking recently because of the fires🔥so close to us, the shooting close to us in SoCal and the shooting in my hometown of Pittsburgh. The terminal illness diagnosis of a beloved family member, friends and loved ones going through very difficult things and trials in my own life could lead me to despair. But I’m thankful for knowing the God of the impossible. ____ Jesus is in the business of making ashes turn to beauty. I’ve seen this time and time again in my own life and in others lives. I’m so grateful for this every single day and keep holding on to the truth that if it’s not good than it’s not the end of the story. I’m thankful that Jesus paid the price ❤️for us and conquered sin and death and calls us children of God. This unshakable truth gets me through each day. ____ I’m so grateful for every good thing God’s put in my life, and one of those things is you guys. It was so fun hearing what you’re thankful for yesterday and I would love us hear more and can’t wait to feature you in our next Vlog. 🌟So how can you choose thankfulness today? Love hearing from you!
