⚠️CAUTION – WORK ZONE⚠️ Santa’s little workshop has been in full swing here at the Rouse House. Stefanie has been like one of Santa’s little elves working so hard to make our place beautiful and to create special memories. 🎅🏻 We have been busy putting up our new tree (on the blog soon!), putting up our outdoor lights, putting up all types of Christmas cheer all around, and last night Stefanie baked CHRISTMAS COOKIES! Let me just say, I was PUMPED! This was our first time with dedicated Christmas cookies that she made and I GULPED them down. 🍪 I have talked about this before, but I feel that it is noteworthy to say that my wife gets excited about things. And at the pinnacle of all of her excitement is definitely Christmas. She gets so excited about all of the different parts of Christmas. She LOVES Jesus, so you can imagine how she feels about celebrating His birth. She loves all of the decorations that she can put up, and the beautiful collage that is our house really seems to come to life. 🎄 After living with this amazing woman for over 4 1/2 years I have come to realize that she does all of this because she loves the little things, and those little things make connections with her past and her present. I find this as one of the most endearing and special things about her, and it only makes me love her more. 😍 A simple white owl ornament might remind her of her beloved grandpa, who loved those cute animals. Or a snow filled clear ornament might remind her of how it snowed on our first Christmas going back to Pittsburgh and how we played and sleighed for hours in the fresh powder. Our house (and tree) is filled with beautiful reminders of memories for her and for us. 🛷 Christmas is our favorite time of year as we get to not only decorate for the holiday, but we get to celebrate the birth of our Savior. We are so excited this month to share some of the special things we love about Christmas and we really want to allow you to see just how we celebrate. ☃️ Tell us below 👇 How do you celebrate the Christmas Season?
