Almost every day for the last couple months I’ve been reflecting on our marriage. This month we will celebrate 5 years, and it’s amazing to look back at so many special memories and remember how different our lives were each step of the way. We’ve both changed a lot, and have had so many changes and trials in our lives even just in these 5 years. But the constant is our love for each other and God. ___ Each day I fall more in love with Caleb in a new way. And although in some ways I’ve felt like we’re Andy and April from Parks and Rec- not wanting to really grow up and be crazy stupid in love kids forever- we’ve still maturing but have the goofiest, laugh filled times as well. ___ I look back to that younger Stefanie and Caleb. Our family called us “The Wonderfuls” because we’d often look at each other lovingly and say “you’re wonderful.” Our first tiny apartment and how I used to hid in the crack between the wall and the bed and try to scare him. The time he wrote the sweetest love note on our new chalk board I wanted to put recipes on but then didn’t erase it for 4 years because it was so sweet. The time we painted all our old furniture so it could match each other. Going on crazy road trips across the country, sending little notes to each other when our respective teacher classroom were across the campus. Caleb almost falling asleep driving the car after going on a crazy long day trip adventure to San Diego and all over the coast and back. ___ I hold and cherish each little and big memory so close to my heart. And I hope and pray to create so many more together every single day. It’s like the country song by Brad Praisley. “And now you're my whole life Now you're my whole world I just can't believe the way I feel about you, girl (insert boy) Like a river meets the sea, Stronger than it's ever been. We've come so far since that day And I thought I loved you then....We'll look back someday, at this moment that we're in And I'll look at you and say And I thought I loved you then” ___ What’s something you’ve been reflecting on lately in your life? Love hearing from you! 📷:@jdphotographyky
